For Knock out Lashes….Tint Me!!!!

For Knock out Lashes….Tint Me!!!!

Eyelash and eyebrow tinting are in great demand in the present time. These are quick and easy services to offer. The eyelash and eyebrow tinting attract and concern many people. The salons are constantly asked the questions like how long does it take to do? How long does it last for? What colors are there? Is it safe? To date it is not believed to cause any harm to the delicate eye area. FDA has issued stern warning for the use of the dyes and their application in the eye area. Tinting must be carried out with extreme caution.

You are required to take a patch test 24 to 48 hours before tinting treatment. This is just to ensure that you have no adverse reaction to the products being used. It is not advisable to carry out these treatments, if your patch test is not suitable. It is further advisable to undertake the patch test, whenever you go to a new salon, or use another dye for the treatment. This could result in disaster.

If ladies come into the salon for an eyelash tint and have an eye infection, or a sore/irritated eye area etc., it is advisable for them to wait till the eye problem is properly cured and healed, otherwise they may face severe eye problems. Contact lenses must be removed before having any eye care treatment to ensure safety of the eyes. To bathe the eye area with water and dampened cotton wool to ensure all traces of tint are removed from an eyelash tint is an excellent idea, it gives a very soothing effect to the eyes.

In the beginning, tinting looks fantastic but gradually fades out with passing time. The eyelash hairs usually have a life span of nearly 4 weeks. As the tinted lash falls out, another eyelash grows in its place obviously with natural color, and continues the hair growth cycle. For this very reason the eyelash tint lasts about 3 to 4 weeks. The eyebrow tinting lasts only for 2 weeks as we continuously cleanse and exfoliate our face, washing it away over time.

Mature and ladies having fair complexion should opt for the brown color tint for eyelashes, a small amount of black may be added to deepen the effect of the color if required. Blue black is actually very noticeable on mature grey hair and ladies having fair complexion. Blue black is actually a very noticeable eyelash tint. Gray and light browns are also available for ladies with gray hair and light skin coloring. Never be hesitant to ask your therapist about the various colors available. Tinting is a very personal matter and only freshly prepared tint should be applied, because after 15 minutes the tint will no longer continue to work as it has an additive in it, which stops the chemical reaction after 15 minutes. It is advisable to ask for freshly prepared tint every time.

The skin around the eye area is very thin, delicate and often very sensitive. Please bear this in mind as we only have one pair of eyes therefore whatever treatment you want to undertake for your eyes think twice before proceeding further. One wrong step may cause severe and irreparable damage to your eyes.

Day Spa, pampering Heaven

Day Spa, pampering Heaven

The term Day Spa was coined in 1980s and immediately started to draw people's attention world over. The term day spa is relatively new for many people in the world. There is lot of confusion about term and its use. For the benefit of our readers I have tried to find the most appropriate and authentic definition of the term day spa.

Other optional services are: Electrolysis, Body Toning, Waxing, and Aromatherapy: Personalized for body and/or face. Face: Cleansing facial. Optional: Medical facial, Non-surgical face lift, Electrical toning, Electrolysis. The services must include one out of the following:

a) Hydrotherapy

A day spa should give you a chance to relax and enjoy the treatments available. The range of treatments available in these establishments varies from stress release to losing weight. Some people like to take advantage of the cosmetic and age reducing effects from facials and body wraps. In this age of supercomputers and Internet stress and the strain of daily life, need of the hour is that we have to take the time out to treat ourselves and a visit to a day spa is the most refreshing way to achieve it. At these wonderful and secluded places you can forget about the world and enjoy having all the focus, attention on you and your pleasure for a day. Some of the pleasurable experiences that are waiting for you at the day spas are massaging, facials, body wraps and many other optional services like manicure and pedicure are readily available for you.

Availability of massage at the day spa is like an icing on the cake and everyone likes to have the cake at the first go. Swedish massage is great too though, and getting a massage helps with stress release, flexibility. Other available types of massage also rejuvenate our bodies and makes them free of toxins and generates a overall feel good psyche. Getting a massage from a masseuse who knows what they are doing can make you feel like you are the only person in the world and make you feel like you are a king or a queen.
The facial is probably the second most popular treatment after the massage treatment. These treatments go far beyond the simple washing and cleansing you may do on your own. A good facial treatment will rid your face of all the built up dead skin cells and cleans and hydrates your skin at the same time. This will leave you feeling clean, fresh, and much younger. If the day spa offers body wrap, definitely try this treatment. This is like a facial for your whole body where you are wrapped in minerals, herbs and essential oils which work together to remove toxic substances from your body. Some of these wraps can even help with weight loss.

Manicures and pedicures are also very popular treatments offered by day spas that can make you feel like you are being pampered and doted on. It is the whole day spa atmosphere that makes you enjoy the experience so much more than if you had it done at a nail salon. The difference is in the treatment, where the nail salon is focused on hurrying and getting you in and out, the day spa is more concerned with pleasing you and making you feel like a king or queen.

Engagement rings and passion

Engagement rings and passion

For diamond engagement rings, passion and intrigue are inseparable, and it is probably the same for every diamond ring. Why else would a reasonable man give his lover an expensive diamond engagement ring? The answer is simple though - Men give diamond engagement rings to women that awaken their passion.
In Western tradition, an engagement ring is a ring worn by a woman on her left-hand ring finger indicating her engagement to be married. It is customary for the ring to be worn on the right-hand ring finger in certain countries. By modern convention, the ring is usually presented as a gift by a man to his prospective bride while or directly after she accepts his marriage proposal. It represents a formal agreement to future marriage.
It is really nice to be in love and share that precious feeling. Diamonds with their spectacular and dramatic view are always a preferred stone when it comes to engagement rings.
When diamonds first began to be given with engagement rings, engagement ring settings were elaborate and did not necessarily show the diamond in its best light. It actually wasn't until the discovery of diamond mines on the African continent in the nineteenth century that diamonds became accessible to a wider public, increasing demand and influencing design.
Different metal bases like platinum and gold gives a different edge to the engagement ring that create a beautiful effect on the mind of its wearers. Coming in different patterns and designs there are plenty of different types of engagement rings to choose from.
An engagement ring, especially a diamond engagement ring, is a precious gift, and an engagement can be the most intimate and important moment for a couple. Make it special by giving your love an engagement ring with diamonds as a gift to show your everlasting love for the special one in your life.

To Pierce or not to Pierce??

To Pierce or not to Pierce??

Body piercing is a piercing or a puncture made in your body by a needle for wearing jewelry in the opening created. Body piercing is a modification of body. Many people practice body piercing for religious and other cultural motives, whereas many people, especially in the modern Western countries, choose body piercing to satisfy spiritual, ornamental, or sexual motives.

Body piercing has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. Whether, as a means of personal expression, to designate societal standing, or as part of religious ritual, or as a tool of beauty enhancement, body piercing has been around us around the world almost since mankind existed on the face of earth. Mummified bodies with piercings have been discovered. Deuteronomy 15:12-17 dictates ear piercing as a mark of slavery. Leviticus 19:28 says to not pierce your body. Nose piercing has been common in India since the 16th century and ear lobe piercing was common for men and women since the Vedic era.The most common body parts to have pierced or piercing types are listed below for your ready reference:

Nose or Nostril, Tongue, Ear-lobe, Lips, Septum, Navel, Nipple, Clitoris hood, Penis, Fraenulum, Foreskin, Penis tip, Scrotum, Monroe , Bridge, Cheek, Anti-Eyebrow, Ear cartilage, Eyebrow, Tragus, Surface, Christina, Fourchette, Labia Minora, Labia Majora, Triangle, Ampallang, Dydoe, Frenum, Guiche, Reverse Prince Albert, Scrotum, Pubic, Lorum.

Some of the types of body piercing offers beneficial effects on our body like according to Ayurveda piercing in the left lobe of nose makes the childbirth easier and lessens the period pains in women. Breasts of those who wore rings were incomparably rounder and fuller developed than those who did not. Slight rubbing and slipping of the rings causes an extremely titillating feeling, and it makes the nipples larger, more sensitive, more sexually attractive, and provides a constant stimulation of the nipples. Penis piercing provides greater stimulation to both partners during sex.

Permanent body piercing is performed by creating an opening in the body with a sharp object through the area to be pierced. This is usually done by cutting an opening, using a needle or scalpel, by removing tissue, or by a dermal punch. Sometimes a piercing gun is also used but its use is restricted to the earlobe piercing only. In each case practice of proper hygiene and sterilization is the watchword. Surgical stainless steel and titanium are ideal materials for initial jewelry to be used in a fresh piercing.

There is a checklist for you before you go in for the body piercing:
1. The area that has been chosen for piercing should be well cleaned with a good quality germicidal soap.
2. After cleaning the area make sure that the needle going to be used is properly cleaned and sterilized.
3. After piercing the piece of jewelry (properly sterilized) should be attached.
4. Always ensure that after piercing the needle is disposed of in a special sharpes container so that there is no risk of the needle or blood touching someone else.
5. Maintain proper cleanliness in the pierced area.
6. The jewelry should be properly adjusted and checked by the person performing the piercing job.

If the person is under 18years of age then some establishments won't allow them to get a piercing without parent's consent. Now let us find the risks that are involved and how best to protect ourselves from infections and other complications. Certain places on our body can cause more problems than other places, infection is a common problem for mouth and nose piercing because of the millions of bacteria that live in those areas and tongue piercing may damage teeth over time. Tongue, cheek, and lip piercing often pose a threat like gum problems.

Most of the piercing shops try to provide a clean and healthy environment for their clients, but it is advisable to check for infections or other health hazards lurking there ourselves. The general points to keep in mind are:

The shop should be clean, person doing the piercing washes his or her hands with a germicidal soap, wears fresh disposable gloves, uses disposable or sterilized instruments, does not use a piercing gun, the needle being used for piercing is new and is being used for the first time and ensures correct procedures for the proper handling and disposal of waste.

After getting a body piercing you should feel fine but you should expect some minor pain and swelling at the pierced site. For a tongue piercing you will have increased saliva. However be aware that sometimes it can go wrong in some cases an immediate visit to your doctor would be the only available solution.

Depending on the body part, time of healing can vary anywhere from a few weeks to more than a year. After getting a piercing, good care should be taken afterwards, don’t pick or tug at it, keep the area clean with soap, and don't touch it without washing the hands first. Never use hydrogen peroxide because it can break down newly formed tissue. In case of mouth piercing, use of antibacterial mouthwash after eating is advisable.

When the piercing has fully healed, the initial jewelry may be changed or removed for short periods. Removal of piercing is very simple. Remove the jewelry making sure not to pull or irritate the pierced area. Once removed the piercing should heal.
